RPer’s: Shut up and listen up.

I have an announcement to make to all the RPers, and it’s not going to be pretty.

I am done listening to RP drama. If the only time you speak to me is to whine or bitch about someone else, don’t. If the only time you speak to me is when you need a therapist, don’t. If the only time you speak to me is when you need someone to validate your feelings, don’t. If the only time I hear from you is when you want or need something, don’t bother. I am done listening to it. I am done being dragged into it. And I am fkn done with all this he said, she said high school bs. You got RP problems? Deal with them. You’re unhappy in RP? Leave. Do NOT bring it to me again, or you will hear things you don’t want to hear.

I have asked everyone to give me time, and it’s outright fkn RUDE that you can’t do that because you’re RP drama is somehow more important in your mind than my real life. News flash: it’s not. If that hurts your feelings, it’s not my problem.

I don’t have the time, or the energy to listen to you whine and bitch over shit that doesn’t matter at the end of the day. If you truly need a friend, be a friend, and I will be there through hell and back. If you can’t do that much, don’t speak to me. Period. Stay out of my @’s. Stay out of my Ping. Stay out of my DMs.

I have told you all I won’t be here. I mean that. I will not be here. Tiny will make an appearance for a wedding, and that is it. Stop hunting me down on my RL Twitter, or Ping, or texts, or FB or GC to tell me your RP drama. If you want to talk to PM and be her friend, she’d love to hear from you. But if all you want is someone to bitch to about RP or RP drama, don’t even think about it.

Are you there, Fandom? It’s me, Ayden.

Hi all,

It’s been a long time between updates, and for that I am sorry. When I decided to take a hiatus to focus on getting the migraine fuckery under control, I didn’t expect to fall off the face of the earth, too. Unfortunately, life has a tendency to throw us all curve-balls on occassion. The last several months have certainly been full of those for me. My nephew has been ill, and my family has lost some truly amazing people to cancer and car accidents.

But there have been some really great times, too.

In November, I got to spend an awesome weekend with @pkmarita and @FknBastard, plotting to take over the world and eating freaking delicious gumbo.

After more papers than I care to count, I can also now say I’m officially finished with grad school. It’s a great feeling to be done with textbooks and Lexis Nexis. I seem to have traded them in for an editor and an upcoming release date though.

Yes, you heard me right. I have officially contracted my first novel with Noble Young Adult, an imprint of Noble Romance Publishing. We’re looking at an early spring release date in ebook format. I’m nervous, I’m excited, and I’m more than happy to let all of you tell me “I told you so.”

I honestly never expected it to happen. After being prodded for years, I finally caved late last summer and said I’d try to publish on the condition that everyone stop bugging me and let me write. I thought I’d send the novel, Fade, for its rounds, and it’d be rejected a million and four times, and then I could dive back into the bat cave and continue writing stories that I’d eventually turn into fanfiction.

It didn’t quite happen that way though. Within three months of sending out my first query, I’d been offered a contract. A little less than six months later, my editor has begun the formal editing process, cover art is happening, and I’m still wondering how the heck this happened.

But that’s not really why I’m dusting off this blog today. Now that grad school is finished and I’ve found a few more hours in my days, I will be resuming All Falls Down and When the Bow Breaks. I promised you I would not abandon these stories, and I intend to keep that promise. You can expect new updates at the beginning of March.

Thank you all so much for being so patient and so sweet during the last four months. I always say that I have the best readers, and that’s because it’s true. You guys are completely amazing, and I fucking love you.
